While I have been widely trained in various modalities, theories and approaches, I most often utilize an Integrative Approach that frequently focuses on Person-Centered Therapy, Choice Theory/Reality Therapy, Multi-Cultural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT). I am also specifically trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am currently training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

EMDR Pain Protocol Certified
EMDR is a specialization that requires several hours of training and practice for a clinician. It is "an extensively researched and highly effective therapeutic protocol to help people heal and recover after trauma or other distressing experiences including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and/or panic disorders." *

Along with basic EMDR, I am specialty trained to work with EMDR for those with Chronic Pain/Chronic Illness and those with migraines. With 14 credit hours of focused training in this area, we can improve your physical pain as a result of chronic illness/chronic pain or trauma together.
Children and Special
After years of working inside schools, and specifically with differently-abled students for a couple of those years, I am passionate about supporting children and their families heal.
I utilize a child's natural way of learning and growing, play/ play therapy, to address issues that might otherwise be hard for a child to sit and discuss. TF-CBT and EMDR can also be helpful methods for a child healing from past abuse or even depression and anxiety.
